Meet the team

Karan Rishi

Having qualified from University of Newcastle in 2008, Karan moved back to Yorkshire and joined Eccleshill Dental in December 2009. In 2012, Karan completed the examinations to become a member of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England. Recently, Karan has completed a postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education at the University of Leeds.

Karan has also been selected as Dental Foundation Trainer, where he helps to train and mentor new qualified dentists on behalf of the Yorkshire and Humber Postgraduate Deanery. This prestigious role is something Karan greatly enjoys.

Karan strives to deliver dentistry to the highest standards and ensure that the patient experience is excellent from start to finish. Karan is committed to improvements and regularly attends post graduate courses and lectures to ensure he keeps up to date with advances in the profession.

The focus for Karan is to tailor his care to the patient’s wants and needs. He feels that a holistic approach where listening to a patient’s concerns and expectations and then discussion is key to ensuring we get the right results. Karan relishes building great relationships with his patients and feels this is the most rewarding part of his role. Karan also enjoys helping anxious patients through their treatment.

In his spare time, Karan is learning to play golf and is working on his swing!

Emma Denton

Emma is our wonderful practice manager; she is the glue that holds this practice together. Not only is she our manager, Emma wears multiple hats as a friend, talented dental/implant nurse and a fabulous mother to her 2 children Alice and Rosie.

Having worked in the industry for 20 years, Emma enjoys leading the fantastic team here at Eccleshill Dental. Taking pride in all aspects of dentistry including, meeting CQC requirements and ensuring superb patient care. Emma is currently further developing her ‘endless’ skills completing her ILM Level 7.

Muzaffar Mir

Having graduated from the Queen Mary University of London, Muz returned home to Bradford and joined our team. Since then, he has completed his Post-Graduate Certification in Advanced Operative Aesthetic, Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics.

For Muz dentistry is a passion rather than a profession. He prides himself on excellent patient care and making his patients feel comfortable and relaxed. To this end, Muz has developed his skill for anxious and nervous patients qualifying in Dental Sedation.

Muz enjoys undertaking aesthetic cases and utilises finessed edge bonding techniques and orthodontic systems such as Fastbraces™️, Invisalign™️ and Quick Straight Teeth™️.

Outside of work he enjoys travelling around the world to immerse himself in different cultures. He also enjoys going to the gym alongside playing and watching football.

Deepak Sokhal

Deepak joined us in 2021 and we are extremely happy he has joined our team. Deepak graduated in 2018 from The Queen Mary University of London. Deepak is keen to develop his skills and is undergoing a Post graduate course in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.

For Deepak he likes to ensure his patients are relaxed and comfortable throughout their journey with him. His friendly and gentle approach, alongside his dry humour does just that.

He really enjoys developing relationships with patients and learning about them. Outside of work he enjoys travelling around the world sight-seeing. He also likes to play football and swim to keep fit and healthy.

Numair Moosa

Numair joined the Eccleshill team in 2017 having graduated from the University of Newcastle. Since then, he has completed his Post-Graduate Certification in Implantology, Eduqual (PGCert Dent Imp).

Numair has experience in all aspects of dentistry and is confident in developing his skills to provide the best service and treatment for his patients. His main interests include general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. He is a provider of Boutique & Enlighten Tooth Whitening and provides short-term adult Orthodontics.

Numair is currently further developing his skills & studying a post graduate certification in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.

In his spare time, Numair enjoys staying active by regularly going to the gym and playing football. He also enjoys keeping up to date with the latest developments and technologies available in dentistry.

Claire Kennedy

Having qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2013 Claire worked in a variety of practices and hospital settings, even including working in Australia for a few years. She joined Eccleshill Dental Practice in May 2022.

Claire passed her examinations for the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) not long after qualifying. Recently Claire has completed a master’s degree in root canal treatment and has undertaken advanced restorative courses.

She is also a provider of Invisalign Go and Boutique whitening. She regularly attends post graduate training courses to keep herself up to date with advances in dentistry. Claire prides herself in providing comprehensive quality care for her patients.

Outside of work Claire enjoys cycling to keep herself fit and healthy.  She also enjoys getting outdoors and exploring the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

Adam Moosa

Adam graduated from the prestigious Barts and the London Dental Institute in 2021, and after undergoing further training in Milton Keynes, has joined the Eccleshill team in 2022.

Adam is passionate about delivering high-quality dental work to his patients, and takes great pride in ensuring his patients feel calm and comfortable throughout their experience. His desire to provide quality care has been reflected in the numerous awards he has achieved for his knowledge and management of gum disease and root canal treatments.

He also has a keen interest for teaching, and enjoys coaching and mentoring students who are as passionate as he is about a career in Dentistry.

In his spare time, Adam enjoys staying active with long-distance running and playing basketball. He is also an avid traveller, and is open to suggestions for his next destination!
